FOLLOW YOUR CURIOSITY

What are you looking for?

GOOD BEANS. BRIGHTER DAYS.

Less guessing. Better questions.

Start with the process record. A photograph cannot separate safe from unsafe food.

For the first-bite curious. And the already obsessed.

Before the texture questions.

Was the correct method followed, with the required conditions and storage? If you cannot verify that, do not taste the batch to find out. Ask the manufacturer and discard when safety is uncertain.

Weak strings or dry beans

These observations may be quality questions, but they do not establish safety. Discuss them with the starter maker alongside your measured process record, not just a photo.

An interrupted heat source

Record what happened and consult the manufacturer’s advice. We do not offer a universal restart window, extended incubation fix or reheating cure for a failed process.

Unexpected appearance

Do not use this page to identify contamination from appearance. Do not scrape off an unexpected growth and eat the remainder. Uncertain food is not a tasting experiment.

Your next batch

Return to a complete method and check the equipment first. The aim is a repeatable process, not improvising until the image looks right.

Keep a record you can use.

Starter, amounts, instructions, conditions, timing, cooling and storage.
